Road Tax 2023

Increase of the truck toll rates in Germany as of December 1, 2023

The German federal government has announced major increases in the German road tax (MAUT) as of December 1, 2023, for commercial vehicles over 7.5 tons.


The planned CO2 surcharge is to be introduced as a new toll rate for the external costs of transport-related CO2 emissions. Like the current partial toll rates, it will be charged as a cent amount per kilometer driven.


Due to these changes, it is necessary for Witt Trucking to adjust the rates for transports with start- or end place in Germany accordingly and increase our rates from December 1,  2023.
